Nix Ocean Park is an aquarium built based on the real-life "Egeskov Castle" in Denmark, centered around "Nix City," showcasing approximately 400 species and 20,000 creatures. The beautiful castle, designed in a red brick style, is entirely used as an aquarium. At the entrance, there is a large cylindrical tank called the "Crystal Tower," standing 8 meters tall, where the wrasse swim gracefully, welcoming visitors. Additionally, in the underwater tunnel at the bottom of the large display tank, sharks and rays elegantly glide overhead. As the largest aquarium in Hokkaido, it features a touch pool and a jellyfish display tank enhanced with sound and light that are not to be missed. Every day, there are adorable performances featuring dolphins and sea lions, along with a lush plaza and the amusement park "Nix Wonderland," as well as a highly popular restaurant serving meals made with local ingredients, making it a place where you can spend an entire day having fun. Moreover, convenient transportation is another major selling point of Nix Ocean Park, located about a 5-minute drive from the Noboribetsu East Interchange and approximately 15 minutes from Noboribetsu Onsen.

About a 5-minute walk from Noboribetsu Station, this large aquarium boasts an excellent location. The sardine light and sound show held in the Galaxy Tank features different performances depending on the season. The penguin parade is held year-round. The jellyfish display tank is the largest in Hokkaido. There are ramps and elevators available for the convenience of travelers with wheelchairs or strollers.
