🍜 One Step Bakery

📝 Introduction

A well-known bakery established with the belief of "wanting to make the bread I love," using rye and homemade natural yeast.

📖 Details

Located in Shinano Oiwake (Karuisawa Town), which thrived as a post town in ancient times, this popular bakery uses rye and homemade natural yeast. The owner, who was deeply impressed by the taste of bread eaten in Germany during their youth, opened this bakery with the belief of "wanting to make the bread I love." The cozy atmosphere of the shop is filled with the enchanting aroma of bread, offering 30 types made from home-grown rye and carefully selected German wheat. Among them, the most beloved is the "100% Rye," which is steamed and baked at low temperatures for a long time. This slightly sour rye bread pairs excellently with cheese, and its flavor becomes more complex with the passing days. Another must-try is the "Country Bread," which has a moist and chewy texture, available in five flavors including sweet potato and fig. The shop features a café space and terrace seating, where purchased bread can be enjoyed on-site. Additionally, there are lunches made with additive-free ingredients and fresh vegetables, which are recommended to be enjoyed alongside the bread.
