🗺️ Poppy Field in the Sky (Sky Poppy)天空のポピー

The Sky Poppy Flower Field is located at an altitude of 500 meters and covers an area of 4 hectares. Approximately 12 million poppy flowers bloom across the vast land. The best time to enjoy the flowers is from late May to early June. The bright blue sky and the vivid red poppies create a striking color contrast, forming a picturesque scene. The poppies here are a type of Shirley Poppy. The Japanese name for the poppy family of plants is "雛罌粟" (Hinapoppy), also known as "虞美人草" (Gubijin-so). The predominant flower color is red, with pink and white varieties adding their own charm. The flower language conveys emotional meanings such as "premonition of love" and "gratitude." Since they are planted on a slope, visitors can capture stunning photos from various angles, even when there are many people enjoying the flowers. From mid-May to early June, the "Sky Poppy Flower" event is held. During this period, visitors can taste local delicacies from the Chichibu region, such as miso potatoes. Pets are also allowed in the flower field. During the flower season, you can enjoy the scenery and relax, spending a leisurely time here.

12 million poppy flowers, named "Aerial Poppy" because they seem to bloom in the air, are truly a breathtaking sight. Visitors can easily stroll along the wooden chip paths to enjoy the flowers. If you visit during the flowering season from mid-May to early June, you can also taste local B-grade delicacies from Chichibu, such as miso potatoes.
