🗺️ Senami Onsen瀬波温泉

Located 2 kilometers southwest of the city center of Murakami, Seiro Onsen faces the Sea of Japan. Along the coastline, there are more than ten hot spring inns standing side by side. It opened around 1904 (Meiji 37) when a sodium chloride hot spring source was discovered during oil exploration, characterized by its abundant spring water. Over the past century, it has become popular among many travelers for its beautiful sunsets. In the nearby "Yunoyu Park," where temperatures reportedly reach 95 degrees, visitors can also experience cooking onsen eggs. The hot spring street offers day-use bathing facilities and free foot baths. In February 1937 (Showa 12), the poet Akiko Yosano visited and composed the lines, "The hot spring shows to the heavens, a waterfall's momentum rushing in reverse," and it is said that during their short two-day stay, they composed 45 songs. Additionally, the area between Sado Island and Awashima is known as "Sunset Path," where the sunset moves back and forth over the course of a year. In recent years, the coastline of Seiro Onsen has also become a popular spot for couples.

Famous for its beautiful sunset hot springs. It features a monument dedicated to Akiko Yosano. In the hot spring park with its source, you can experience cooking hot spring eggs. The monument of the Lovers' Sanctuary is a popular photo spot.
