The Shibamata Tourist Information Center is conveniently located just a minute's walk from Shibamata Station on the Keisei Kanamachi Line, heading towards "Daikokuten." Since it is operated by the Katsushika Ward Tourism Association, it is recommended to stop by here if you are visiting Shibamata. At the Shibamata Tourist Information Center, you can not only pick up various sightseeing brochures for free but also receive explanations about tourist attractions in Shibamata, allowing for a more detailed understanding of walking routes and the geographical locations of various famous spots. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and there is often an English-speaking guide available. Although the center itself is not large, it offers a rich selection of local souvenirs. Particularly recommended are the merchandise related to the character "Tora-san" from the movie "Otoko wa Tsurai yo," which is synonymous with the Shibamata area, as well as traditional crafts like "Edo Kiriko" made by local workshops in Katsushika Ward.
