Shiga Agricultural Park BLUMEN no Oka is an experiential agricultural park themed around the medieval German countryside, located in the Kitayama Hills of Hino Town, east of Lake Biwa. Named "BLUMEN," which means "flowers" in German, the park is a popular flower viewing destination with a variety of blossoms throughout the year. As the seasons change, the park is adorned with blooming tulips in spring, sunflowers in summer, and cosmos in autumn, making it a picturesque spot for walking and flower appreciation.
Inside the park, there is a "Small Animal Interaction Square" where visitors can interact with animals such as kangaroos, capybaras, and alpacas. The "Fast Play Area" features games like large off-road vehicles and turf slides, while the "Slow Play Area" offers experiences like a steam train and pedal boats, among other attractions.
Visitors can also participate in seasonal agricultural activities, with the most popular being the sweet potato harvesting event held around late September. Additionally, the park's restaurant and shops offer unique original souvenirs, making them perfect for gifts.

Getting There
(1) Take the Omi Bus from JR Tokaido Main Line "Omi Hachiman" Station towards Kitabataguchi, approximately 50 minutes. (2) Drive from the Meishin Expressway Yokaichi Interchange for about 20 minutes. (3) Drive from the Shin-Meishin Expressway Koka Tsuchiyama Interchange for about 25 minutes.
