About Shinagawa Hanakaido
A flower field built along the banks of the Katsushima Canal. A flower path that blooms with different flowers throughout the four seasons.
Details
Shinagawa Hanakaido is a flower field built along the Kachidoki Canal, stretching about 2 kilometers along the riverbank. With the idea of "transforming the riverbank of Kachidoki Canal into a flower field," many individual volunteers, schools, businesses, and local residents collaborate each year to sow flowers along the riverbank. This results in a vibrant display of seasonal blooms, including canola flowers and cherry blossoms in spring, and cosmos in autumn, captivating countless flower enthusiasts.
As a pleasant walking route and a great leisure spot, from April to October each year, you can also see the rare Chinese windmill butterflies dancing gracefully by the water. If you visit Tokyo, it is recommended to take some time during your trip to enjoy the beautiful riverside scenery filled with blooming flowers and experience the joy of a leisurely stroll.
