Sanho Matsubara has been registered as a component asset of the Fuji-san World Cultural Heritage. This facility conveys the value and charm of Sanho Matsubara, as well as the importance of protecting the pine grove. It features a video theater showcasing the stunning landscape of Sanho Matsubara and the majestic Mount Fuji, along with the connection between the scenic beauty of Sanho Matsubara, the faith in Mount Fuji, and traditional Japanese performing arts such as the Noh play "Hagoromo," as well as representative artworks from the Muromachi period and Edo period ukiyo-e. The exhibition rooms, composed of six main themes, provide an in-depth understanding of Sanho Matsubara.
In the corridor adorned with ukiyo-e posters related to Sanho Matsubara, benches have been set up, and there are coin lockers available for free use inside the facility. On winter weekends and national holidays, visitors can also enjoy a foot bath infused with pine bath additives, serving as a resting area during walks. Additionally, there is a museum shop filled with adorable original products related to Sanho Matsubara, making it highly recommended to purchase a souvenir as a memory of your trip.
