🗺️ Sumida Aquarium
🎨 Attraction Gallery
📝 Introduction
The indoor aquarium located at the foot of Tokyo Skytree.
📖 Details
The Sumida Aquarium is located on the 5th and 6th floors of the Tokyo Skytree Town's West Building and is an indoor aquarium. It uses a unique artificial seawater production system to provide a comfortable environment for aquatic life and showcases an ocean world filled with artistic beauty for visitors. The design concept of the aquarium is "the closer you look, the more you will love it," allowing guests to observe various marine creatures up close. The Sumida Aquarium employs many unique display methods, featuring several stunning highlights. There is an indoor "open large tank" spanning the 5th and 6th floors, where visitors can closely watch adorable penguins; a "Tokyo Large Tank" themed around Tokyo's 219 islands, recreating the marine world of the Ogasawara Islands; and the "Edo-themed Goldfish Exhibition," which gathers over 20 varieties of ornamental goldfish. The artistically rich aquarium allows visitors to forget that they are in the midst of a bustling urban high-rise. The Sumida Aquarium also has a shop selling original merchandise and a café, where visitors can take a good rest after exploring.
