The "Takaosan Visitor Center," located at the summit of Mount Takao, is a facility that introduces the flora and fauna, history, and hiking routes related to Mount Takao. Inside the center, there are display cases and exhibits that provide information about Mount Takao, as well as taxidermy specimens of animals, including flying squirrels, allowing visitors to learn about the mountain in a relaxed manner. There is a service desk where visitors can consult with resident guides for any questions or inquiries about Mount Takao.
On weekends and public holidays, guided walking tours and experiential courses are held in the forests of Mount Takao with the guides. If time permits, it is worth participating, as it can add another layer of enjoyment to your hiking trip on Mount Takao.
The shop "Nature Shop" sells T-shirts and hand towels featuring cute illustrations, so consider picking one up as a souvenir from your visit.

Getting There
From the Takao-san Cable Car "Takao-san" station, it takes about 50 minutes to walk (hike), or from the Keio Line "Takaosanguchi" station, it takes about 105 minutes to walk (hike).
