About The Tree of the Seven Stars
Beautiful photographic locations featured in the Japanese "Nanxing Cigarettes" advertisements and packaging.
Details
Known for its hilly landscapes, Biei Town is home to many famous trees, among which the most well-known is the Seven Stars Tree. In 1976, it was chosen by "Seven Stars Cigarettes" for its outer packaging, earning it the nickname "Seven Stars Tree." It is a popular photography spot alongside the rows of white birch trees.
The location of the Seven Stars Tree is used for the cultivation of various crops, creating a vibrant landscape known as the "Patchwork Road," where visitors can fully enjoy the scenic beauty of Biei. The Seven Stars Tree stands quietly amidst the beautiful Patchwork Road in early summer, surrounded by ripe wheat in the height of summer, and in the pure white snowfields of winter.
No matter the season, visitors can appreciate the different beautiful sceneries of the northern country.
