🗺️ Tokyo Metropolitan Shakujii Park

Shakujii Park is a metropolitan park centered around Sanbōji Pond and Shakujii Pond. The park retains the natural scenery of the Musashino area. Within the park, there is the tranquil Sanbōji Pond, surrounded by trees, and the lively Shakujii Pond, where visitors can enjoy boating. The site of the old Shakujii Castle and several related ruins can also be found here. Additionally, the Sanbō Pond marsh plant community, designated as a national natural monument, is a natural landscape worth admiring. Shakujii Park is also famous for cherry blossoms. Every spring, over 240 cherry trees, including Somei Yoshino and wild cherry trees, bloom in succession, attracting many flower-viewing visitors. In autumn, the area around Sanbōji Pond is adorned with beautiful red maple leaves. Furthermore, there are cultural and historical attractions nearby, such as the Nerima City Shakujii Park Hometown Culture Museum, the Nerima City Makino Memorial Garden, and other temples, making it advisable to visit them all at once.

A park centered around two ponds, featuring serene and beautiful nature. Flowers can be enjoyed in every season, and various wild birds can be observed. You can go boating on the lake at Shakujii Pond (March to November).
