Toyama Prefecture's Takaoka City is famous for its production of Japanese tulip bulbs, which are not only a local specialty but also exported to countries around the world. To promote the charm of tulips, the Tulip Seasonal Color Pavilion was established in 1996. In the exhibition room "Wonder Garden," various colors of tulips bloom throughout the seasons, featuring the "Tulip Palace" filled with tower-shaped cut flowers, and the "Colorful Garden" designed as a kaleidoscope that infinitely extends with various flowers. These exclusive displays unique to the Tulip Seasonal Color Pavilion are not to be missed. At the museum "Toshita Farm," visitors can learn about the history of tulip evolution and the secrets of year-round blooming through easy-to-understand display materials. Every year, during the large holiday period from late April to early May, the "Takaoka Tulip Expo" is held, welcoming visitors with 3 million tulips of 300 varieties. Throughout the year, various horticultural lectures are conducted to actively promote greening activities.
