📝 Introduction
Located at the foot of Mount Hakkai, it is a tourist facility themed around sake breweries.
📖 Details
Hakkaisan Brewery, famous for its Niigata sake "Hakkaisan," operates a complex facility themed around sake and food. Nestled at the foot of the lush Hakkaisan mountain, it features 13 facilities including a sake brewery, restaurants, and shops.
Among them, "Hakkaisan Snow Room" offers an experience of the lifestyle and culture of the snow country. The snow storage facility is a traditional local culture, serving as a natural refrigerator for preserving sake and vegetables by collecting snow during the winter months. This facility can hold up to thousands of tons of snow, creating a massive snow storage area. The snow blocks do not melt even in summer. There is a designated area where visitors can taste sake while being introduced by staff, as well as a shop selling selected kitchenware.
In addition to sake, there is "Sarukura Mountain Brewery," where you can taste locally brewed craft beer "RYDEEN BEER," and "Soba House Nagamori," which is housed in a relocated traditional farmhouse where you can enjoy delicious soba noodles. There is also "Kashidokoro SATO-YA," which offers signature desserts made with sake and sake lees. Hakkaisan Brewery's employee cafeteria, "Everyone's Employee Cafeteria," is open during lunch hours and is popular among travelers.
