Frequently Asked Questions
Do you need a driver's license to ride a snowmobile? What essential items are required?
No driver's license is required. In principle, you only need to prepare four items: ski clothing, gloves, boots, and a helmet. The only items allowed on the slopes are a camera, tissues, and drinks. To preserve the precious natural environment for future generations, only the minimum necessary items may be brought.
Can women, elderly people, and individuals with mobility difficulties also participate?
Anyone in good health can participate, regardless of athletic ability or driving experience. Before heading to the mountain snow trails, we will practice in flat areas to ensure everyone can easily operate the snowmobile, so please feel free to join. As long as there are no physical, mental, or visual impairments, participants can ride the snowmobile. You can also join a snowmobile tour with a guide as a pair, or as a trio with the guide and a guardian (for more details, please inquire separately).
Are there bears in the area? Can you see wildlife?
There are no bears nearby. However, in the summer, we ride snowmobiles through areas where bears often appear, so it's easy to imagine that we venture quite deep into the mountains. Additionally, if we're lucky, we might see various animals such as long-tailed tits, Ezo deer, foxes, rabbits, Ezo squirrels, yellow weasels, raccoons, and black woodpeckers.
Is there a risk of avalanches or mountain difficulties? Will the snowmobile activity be canceled?
In the past 32 years, there have been no incidents of mountain accidents or avalanches. Our company conducts safety checks on the snow trails three times a day, and at night, snow grooming vehicles maintain the trails, ensuring safety in all aspects, so you can rest assured. Additionally, our guides pay close attention to the weather while leading tourists during rides, and in the event of sudden severe weather, we will take detour measures to head back to the base of the mountain. (We will make decisions based on real-time information provided by other guides and may implement route closures if necessary.) If there is a blizzard, heavy snowfall, or heavy rain, the trip will proceed as scheduled if the snow trail is deemed safe, but the final decision rests with the tourists themselves. If it is judged that traveling would be difficult, we will recommend postponing the event.
Can I participate in snowmobiling without a reservation?
Yes, if there are still spots available, you can participate without a reservation. However, considering that visitors take precious time to come from afar, if the reservation is fully booked, you may have to wait for quite a while. Therefore, it is recommended that you fill out the reservation consultation form in advance for safety. Please click here to view the "Reservation Consultation Form."
How is the snow quality? What is the recommended best time?
The quality of the snow changes depending on the time of year, the amount of snowfall on that day, the temperature, sunlight (sunshine), and the number of visitors. January, when the snow conditions are relatively better, is the best season for fun.
