About Wu Long Police Station Memorial Hall
A museum where you can experience the charm of the famous manga "Kochikame" (烏龍派出所) through the five senses.
Details
The new pilgrimage site for fans of "Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kōen-mae Hashutsujo" will open in March 2025. It is a themed museum dedicated to the popular comedy manga that has been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump for 40 years.
The concept of the "Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kōen-mae Hashutsujo Memorial Hall" is that the main character— the absurd police officer Ryōtsu Kankichi (commonly known as A-Ryō)—has built his own memorial hall at the police station where he works. The museum not only fully showcases the charm of the work but also provides an in-depth introduction to the characteristics of the Kameari area in Tokyo, which serves as the story's backdrop.
Visitors will be greeted by "Revival! Ryōtsu Daimeijin!!" as they take the elevator from the first-floor entrance, which recreates the police station scene, to the fifth floor. There will also be character-themed fortune slips designed around the characters. The fourth floor features the "Original Artwork Gallery," the third floor has the "Classic Scene Experience Zone," and the second floor offers various interactive displays. Additionally, the first floor includes a "Communication Space" that conveys the unique characteristics of Kameari, which should not be missed.
