🗺️ Yamanashi Prefectural Museum of Art山梨県立美術館

Since its opening in 1978, the Yamanashi Prefectural Museum of Art has been well-known by the nickname "Miller Museum." The museum houses 70 works by Jean-François Millet. A major highlight is the opportunity to view Millet's masterpieces such as "The Sower" and "The Gleaners - Summer" up close. In addition to Millet, the museum boasts nearly 10,000 precious collections, including works by Barbizon painters depicting naturalistic landscapes and peasant life, as well as pieces by artists from Yamanashi Prefecture, such as Yokoyama Taikan. The collection is updated four times a year, ensuring that each visit offers new artworks to admire. Located within the Art Forest Park, the museum features sculptures by renowned artists such as Rodin and Henry Moore. On clear days, visitors can enjoy a distant view of Mount Fuji from the garden, creating a wonderful space where art and nature blend seamlessly.

The collection includes 70 works by Millet, known as the "Millet Museum of Art." It features works from the Barbizon School and modern Japanese art, with approximately 10,000 pieces in total. The exhibition content is changed four times a year. The park where the museum is located displays many works by renowned sculptors. On clear days, Mount Fuji can be seen from the park.
