Yokohama HAMMERHEAD is Japan's first integrated facility that combines "commercial facilities," "cruise ship terminal," and "hotel," opened in the Minato Mirai area. The name of the facility is derived from the iconic "hammerhead crane" that still stands at the front of the pier (hence the name HAMMERHEAD). Until the 1970s, this crane was used for loading and unloading cargo, making it a historic industrial relic. The commercial area "HAMMERHEAD SHOP & RESTAURANT," which houses over 20 dining establishments, features many shops with "attached factories," allowing customers to watch the manufacturing process live, making it endlessly fascinating. Visitors can also enjoy freshly made delicacies that can only be found here, all in a prime location surrounded by the sea on three sides. The cruise ship terminal is equipped with complete CIQ (Customs, Immigration, Quarantine) functions, accommodating large international cruise ships. The 3rd to 5th floors of the facility house a luxury hotel, offering views that can only be seen from a position that seems to float on the sea, making it the perfect choice for relaxation. Yokohama HAMMERHEAD also has a direct SEA BASS boarding area "HAMMERHEAD (Shinko Pier)," where regular services operate from the East Exit of Yokohama Station, allowing passengers to disembark from the sea.
