The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Tower is located within a complex building next to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and is regarded as a landmark of Hiroshima due to its unique views. The open tourist area includes a product hall and café on the first floor, as well as the "Crane Plaza," "Crane Wall," and the observation deck "Hiroshima Hill" on the 12th floor. The observation deck on the top floor features a comfortable wooden deck with a warm atmosphere, where a gentle breeze flows. Visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the Peace Memorial Park and the Peace Memorial Museum, and on clear days, they can even see Mount Misen on Miyajima. One of the highlights is the "Crane Wall," a glass box approximately 50 meters long on the side of the tower. Paper cranes folded in the "Crane Plaza" on the 12th floor are thrown into this glass box, creating a wall of cranes made by travelers. Additionally, there are interactive digital imaging activities that utilize CG imagery. Furthermore, on the east side, there is a spiral ramp called the "Walking Path" that connects the first floor to the top floor. In the center of the ramp, there is a slide that allows visitors to enjoy an exhilarating speed experience using a special sliding mat, which is very popular among travelers.
