🎌 K.K. Kinman "Akita Confectionery Kinman"

📝 Introduction

When it comes to Akita souvenirs, it's Jinman! The Nagasaki cake bun that is sweet but not overly rich.

📖 Details

The classic Akita confectionery "Kinman" is a popular Nagasaki cake bun that has been selling for over 60 years. Originally located in the "Kinza Street" shopping area in front of Akita Station, it was known as "the bun of Kinza Street," and later abbreviated to "Kinman." Kinman features an outer layer made from a large amount of honey and eggs, giving it the texture of a Nagasaki cake, while the inner layer is filled with white bean paste containing egg. It is baked using traditional confectionery machines, resulting in a fluffy and soft texture with a subtle sweetness. Since its establishment in Showa 28 (1953), it has maintained its consistent flavor and production method. Kinman comes in three types of packaging. The "Kinman Individual Packaging" is convenient for sharing and storage, with a shelf life of 14 days, making it the best choice for gifts. The "Nama Kinman" offers the fresh taste of being made on-site and is only sold at direct-operated stores. The "Kinman Multiple Packs" feature a longer shelf life than Nama Kinman and are more economical than the individual packaging.
