🗺️ Mishima Skywalk

📝 Introduction

The longest suspension bridge in Japan, measuring 400 meters in length, offers a panoramic view of Mount Fuji, Suruga Bay, and the rugged peaks of the Izu Mountains.

📖 Details

Mishima Skywalk opened in 2015. With a total length of 400 meters, it is the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in Japan. The bridge is built at an elevation of about 415 meters on the western foothills of Hakone, reaching a height of 70 meters above the ground. Here, you can simultaneously see three of Japan's greatest sights: "the longest suspension bridge in Japan," "the highest peak in Japan, Mount Fuji," and "the deepest bay in Japan, Suruga Bay." On clear days, you can also enjoy distant views of the rugged mountains of the Izu Peninsula, as well as the urban landscapes of Mishima City and Numazu City. The areas on both sides of the bridge are divided into northern and southern parks. The southern park features recreational facilities such as a café, restaurant, and shops. In the "Sky Garden," decorated with numerous flower baskets, you can purchase a variety of local specialties and products from around Mount Fuji. At the restaurant "Forest Kitchen," you can enjoy curry and pancakes made with local ingredients, as well as the authentic local delicacy "Mishima Korokke." The northern park is a paradise for experiencing various outdoor activities in nature. The "Forest Adventure Zone" is a forest park where you can enjoy nature and challenge yourself with various outdoor activities. The most impressive feature is the "Super Long Zip Line," which allows you to glide back and forth over a distance of 560 meters. Additionally, the "Electric Scooter Tour" is also very appealing, where you can ride scooters through the trees with a guide. There are also activities suitable for adults, such as the "Go! Go! Off-Road Vehicle" experience, which involves driving along unrefined, original mountain forest roads.
