🗺️ Miyako Island Underwater Park宮古島海中公園

Miyako Island Underwater Park is located on the northern side of the island, about a 25-minute drive from Miyako Airport. It is a well-known tourist attraction facing the clear and transparent sea. The park features underwater observation facilities where visitors can observe the natural ecology of fish in the waters around Miyako Island. The observation area is set at a depth of 4 kilometers underwater, in a spacious area of 29.6 meters wide and 5 meters deep, covering approximately 150 square meters. It is equipped with 24 acrylic windows, each 1.5 meters high, 50 centimeters wide, and 12 centimeters thick, allowing views of colorful tropical fish, octopuses, sea snakes, and occasionally, close encounters with sea turtles. There are guides on-site who provide explanations based on the day's current conditions, the types of fish that can be seen, and an overview of the observation facilities. In addition to the underwater observation facilities, the park also includes a souvenir shop, an experience area for making jewelry from coral and shells, and a café. The café, which offers beautiful sea views from its windows, serves Hawaiian poke bowls made with tuna from the waters near Miyako Island, various dishes featuring Miyako beef, and desserts made from Miyako mangoes, allowing visitors to enjoy a variety of local ingredients.

An underwater observation facility located about 4 kilometers deep in the sea allows you to observe fish ecology without getting wet. The café offers a close-up view of the beautiful sea scenery while enjoying meals made from local ingredients. There is also an experience area where you can create souvenirs using materials from the ocean.
