🗺️ Namba Gourmet Alley

📝 Introduction

From old shops to famous restaurants, a grand collection of Osaka cuisine!

📖 Details

Osaka's representative delicacies such as Okonomiyaki, Takoyaki, and Kushikatsu can all be found at Namba Food Alley. This alley features renowned establishments with over 70 years of history, including the famous Okonomiyaki restaurant "Botenku," established in 1960, "Kushikatsu Ryori Katsu," the original Takoyaki shop "Aizuwaka," the original "Momodani Ikayaki" from Momodani shopping street, the local curry specialty "Jiyuken," and the birthplace of Omurice "Hokkyokusei," among others, gathering a total of 15 long-standing shops and famous eateries from the Kansai region. You don't need to traverse the entire city of Osaka; you can enjoy these delicacies all in one location. In addition to indulging in delicious food, it is also recommended to take a leisurely stroll around the facilities. The atmosphere recreates the old streets of Osaka from around the 1960s, making it very interesting even just to walk inside. As you walk from the entrance past the three-wheeled truck, you'll see large red posters, wooden utility poles, and advertisements hanging on the walls, all carefully crafted to evoke the street scene of that era. The alley is filled with the ambiance of children playing "Hopscotch," and there are corners that exude a nostalgic cinema vibe. With each step forward, you can fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Osaka during the Showa era. Exploring the streets of the Showa period while satisfying your appetite makes this facility enjoyable whether you visit once or twice. Namba Food Alley is free to enter, and right next to it is the "Kaiyukan," which is considered one of the largest aquariums in the world, as well as the "Tempozan Giant Ferris Wheel," which has a diameter of 100 meters, making it advisable to include these in your itinerary.
