Yokohama Zoo Negiyama is located within Negiyama Park, which overlooks the scenic cityscape of Yokohama. The zoo opened in 1951 and is home to around 80 different species, totaling approximately 1,800 animals, including giraffes, lions, and red pandas. Situated in the heart of Yokohama, the zoo is easily accessible and has free admission. In the popular "Friend Zone" (好朋友廣場), children can have close encounters with small animals like guinea pigs and white mice. Every spring, it also attracts many cherry blossom viewers, making it a popular sakura viewing spot.
