Otaru Canal Plaza (Otaru City Tourism and Product Plaza) is located along the Otaru Canal and has been transformed from the historic building "Old Otaru Warehouse." The facility includes areas for local product sales, a café, and a tourist information center. Inside the "International Information Center," there are staff members who can communicate in English, Chinese, and Korean. They provide information on sightseeing in Otaru and the Shiribeshi region, accommodation facilities, transportation information, and itinerary details, as well as rich information on seasonal events such as cherry blossoms and autumn leaves. The interior is adorned with old maps and photographs of Otaru, allowing visitors to understand the city's history. Additionally, the multipurpose gallery within the facility frequently hosts various events and exhibitions.

The Tourist Service Center offers a wide variety of practical travel information. The souvenir shop is stocked with well-known snacks, seafood products, wines, and local beers, providing a rich selection. There are tables and chairs available for resting. It is just a 10-minute walk from JR "Otaru" Station, making transportation very convenient.
