Details
On the eastern side of the Natsugumi Peninsula, which protrudes into the Japan Sea, lies Senboku, a grassland at an elevation of 333 meters and covering 26,400 square meters. Here, you can feel the refreshing sea breeze brought by the crashing waves while enjoying the beautiful scenery of the cobalt blue Japan Sea.
This place is one of the top scenic spots in the area, with seasonal flowers that are just as attractive as the views. Under the blue sky, the entire plateau is filled with flowers such as Wenshurian, azaleas, camellias, and tea plums, making it a well-known photo spot.
After taking in the magnificent natural scenery, it is recommended to relax at the only nearby café located within the plateau, "Country Kitchen(カントリーキッチン)."
Additionally, there is a camping area set up in a spot with excellent views, which does not require reservations and offers same-day camping arrangements, making it very popular among campers from all over Japan. If you want to enjoy the nighttime fishing lights on the sea, the dazzling starry sky, and the sunrise in the morning, bringing your own tent to camp here is highly recommended.
