🗺️ Takinoyama Suzuran Hills Park国営滝野すずらん丘陵公園

Takino Suzuran Hillside Park is the only national park in Hokkaido. Spanning an impressive 400 hectares, it is divided into four main areas featuring colorful flower fields, large playground equipment, three waterfalls, and forests perfect for enjoyable walks. In addition, the park is renamed "Takino Snow World" during the winter season and opens to the public. Here, visitors can enjoy a variety of snow activities. There are six types of snow slopes available, ranging from a 250-meter long slope with a 7-degree incline that is suitable for children, to standard slopes designed for advanced skiers. Moreover, there is a dedicated sledding slope where visitors can slide down 200 meters on rubber snow tubes, as well as opportunities for snowshoe walks in the Takino forest. It is a popular destination where both adults and children can have fun year-round.

There are hills covered with vast fields of flowers, with tulips blooming in late May and cosmos flowers in early September being the most popular. The "Children's Valley," filled with large playground equipment, and the "Takino Forest Area," featuring tube slides, are perfect for children. In winter, the park is renamed "Takino Snow World" and opens to the public. Ski equipment rentals are available (for a fee). There are also plenty of nature experience activities.
