🛍️ Wagashi Kunpu

📝 Introduction

In a tranquil residential area, there is a Japanese confectionery shop where you can savor the exquisite flavors of Japanese sweets paired with sake.

📖 Details

Wagashi Kaze is a small Japanese confectionery shop hidden within a residential area. The shop uses fresh ingredients sourced directly from farmers to create seasonal confections, and offers unique sake that pairs well with the sweets, allowing customers to experience the distinctive flavors of Japanese sweets alongside sake. You can visit specifically to purchase gifts or enjoy the freshly made flavors on-site. Kaze's signature product is dorayaki, made with seasonal fruit jams paired with red bean paste from Hokkaido's Dainagon azuki beans. In addition to the classic lemon jam from Setouchi's Awajishima, the shop typically offers more than five types of jams used for making confections. The shop not only carefully crafts the sweets but also personally selects sake from a sake brewery, allowing guests to savor the exceptional combination of Japanese sweets and unique sake.

⭐ Highlights

The most popular wagashi is the "Lemon Dorayaki" filled with lemon jam, which combines the sweetness of red bean paste with the refreshing and delicious flavor of lemon. In addition to sake, authentic Chinese tea is also offered. Please note that there may be temporary closures due to events or lectures. Be sure to check the official website in advance.
