📝 Introduction

The theme park, filled with tropical Brazilian style, has a history of half a century since its opening!

📖 Details

Washuzan Highland is an amusement park located in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, offering a panoramic view of the Seto Inland Sea. True to its name, this park is a vibrant theme park filled with Brazilian flair. In addition to Brazilian performance shows throughout the day, there is an insect café called "Amazon," as well as "Rio" shops and "Teneiru Café," with all the facilities' names related to Brazil. When it opened in 1971, the park originally allowed entry by driving vehicles, but over time, various amusement facilities were added, expanding the area and evolving into its current form, particularly with the highly praised Brazilian performance shows. The park's popular attractions include four uniquely themed roller coasters. The "Ultra Twister," which features a sharp 85-degree turn; the "Standing Roller Coaster," where riders stand; Japan's first roller coaster that travels in reverse, the "Reverse Roller Coaster"; and the milder "Cupid Roller Coaster," which is less intense. Additionally, it is worth mentioning the attraction known as "the scariest aerial bicycle in the world," which is immensely popular among visitors from around the globe. There are also thrilling activities like bungee jumping to experience. Beyond the thrilling rides, there are also attractions loved by children and a zoo area where visitors can have close encounters with small animals, ensuring fun for the whole family.
