🎨 Attraction Gallery
📝 Introduction
A popular restaurant with a rich menu, surrounded by lush greenery and a fishing pond.
📖 Details
Tokyo's Suginami Ward's "Tokyo Metropolitan Wadahori Park" is located along the banks of the Zenpukuji River, with the Musashino Fishing Pond situated in one corner of the park. Surrounded by greenery, the park also features various facilities such as sports fields and barbecue areas. The five fishing ponds are home to fish like carp swimming freely in the water. One of its attractions is the affordable pricing, where adults can enjoy fishing for just 800 yen per hour, which includes the rental of fishing rods and bait. The fishing pond has also been used as a filming location for movies, and the giant great white shark model that pops out of the pond is a major highlight.
The biggest draw of this fishing spot is the attached restaurant. Featured in the hit TV drama "Kodoku no Gurume," which aired in 2012, it attracts not only regulars but also many tourists who come specifically to dine, gaining nationwide recognition. In addition to the oyakodon (parent-and-child rice bowl) and stir-fried udon noodles ordered by the main character in the show, there are various other dishes available, including omelet rice, pork cutlet curry, and ramen. The dining area is equipped with air conditioning, but some people prefer to eat while fishing. There are also various alcoholic beverages and side dishes available, which are highly recommended to take out and enjoy in the park (dishes must be returned).
