With a total area of 153,322 square meters, it is the largest Japanese garden in the Shikoku region. In this stroll-style Japanese garden, centered around the upper and lower ponds, visitors can walk around the ponds and enjoy the beautiful scenery that changes with the seasons.
The garden is themed around "mountains, villages, towns, and seas," incorporating the essence of modern landscaping techniques, and is listed as one of the "100 Selected Urban Parks in Japan." It features artificial hills, grassy areas, rest zones, and pavilions, creating a space rich in interest.
Throughout the year, various flowers bloom in the garden, including plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, and azaleas. Notably, in early summer, around 30,000 irises with vibrant colors bloom, making it a sight worth seeing.
The garden also has energy spots such as the Kōen Bridge, the Manyō Path's Stone of Hope, and the koi decorations in the Umi no Ie, where you can meditate and feel the healing energy.
The restaurant offers local dishes such as fried fish cakes, sea bream rice, and sweet potato rice, as well as rice bowls, set meals, and beverages, making it a nice place to rest during your stroll.
