"Unazuki Onsen" is located at the gateway to the Kurobe Gorge and is the largest hot spring town in Toyama Prefecture. Celebrating its centennial in 2023, it is a historic hot spring town. From the hotels and ryokans standing beside the Kurobe River, visitors can enjoy the spectacular natural scenery of the Kurobe Gorge. Surrounded by mountains and the sea, both accommodations and restaurants offer the luxury of fresh seafood and mountain produce. The hot spring source comes from the Kurobe River upstream, specifically the Kurotaki Onsen, which is one of the clearest hot springs in Japan. Known as a "beauty hot spring," its mildly alkaline simple spring water is great for moisturizing the skin. While soaking in the hot springs, guests can admire the changing seasonal landscapes of the valley, washing away the fatigue of travel. In the traditional hot spring street, there are restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops, and several foot baths. The scale of the hot spring street is suitable for leisurely strolls, and while wandering around, visitors can take a break at the various foot baths to relax. The "Onsen Fountain" in front of Unazuki Onsen Station, which spouts hot spring water, is also a popular photo spot.
