📖 Details
MUJI, a brand that offers lifestyle products made from natural materials, has been striving to protect the environment and address various social issues. To tackle the food crisis facing the world and improve the challenges of environmental overload, they have launched a snack called "Cricket Senbei." This Cricket Senbei is made by grinding crickets into powder, mixing it with rice crackers, and adding natural seasonings with a shrimp flavor. The crickets are sourced from edible crickets farmed at Tokushima University in Tokushima Prefecture, and all production and processing are completed within Japan. Cricket Senbei is highly nutritious, rich in protein. Additionally, raising crickets produces significantly less greenhouse gas emissions and requires far less feed compared to traditional livestock like pigs and cows, thereby reducing environmental impact.
*Allergen: Cricket powder contains components similar to those found in shellfish such as shrimp and crab.
