On "Lover's Hill" atop Enoshima, there is a large bell associated with the legend of "The Celestial Maiden and the Five-Headed Dragon." On clear days, the view is spectacular, allowing a distant glimpse of Izu Oshima. The story of "The Celestial Maiden and the Five-Headed Dragon" describes a wicked five-headed dragon that fell in love with a celestial maiden who descended to the human world, leading to its transformation into a benevolent being. After marrying the celestial maiden, they lived a stable and happy life together. It is said that the current Ryugakuzan in Fujisawa City is the transformed five-headed dragon, and the celestial maiden is revered as Enoshima Myojin, protecting Enoshima for many years. This legend is also recorded in the illustrated scroll of "Enoshima Engi" and is considered a treasured possession housed in "Enoshima Shrine." Below the Dragon Love Bell, there is a fence adorned with countless padlocks. It is said that if couples write their names on a padlock and attach it to the fence, they will be blessed with everlasting love, attracting many couples to secure their locks and wish for their dreams to come true.
