🗺️ Ryugu Castle Observation Deck

📝 Introduction

Enjoy the breathtaking natural scenery from the Miyako Island observation deck, creating unforgettable memories for this trip.

📖 Details

After crossing the 1,690-meter-long Kaima Bridge from Miyako Island in Okinawa, you will arrive at Kaima Island. On the high ground of the island stands a visually striking building, the "Ryugu Castle Observatory," inspired by the underwater palace "Ryugu-jo" from Japanese folklore. Entering the three-story observatory, you can overlook the "Yonaha Maehama Beach," which is said to be the most beautiful in the Orient. The gradient formed by the white sandy beach and cobalt blue sea attracts the attention of visitors. To the right, you can see the Kaima Bridge, and to the left is Irabu Island, offering a dynamic landscape all around. The beautiful scenery where the sky, sea, and lush greenery intertwine makes it hard to leave. When visiting, please pay special attention to the sea breeze, as strong winds are common in the area, so be careful with hats and other personal items to prevent them from being blown away. Near the observatory, there are several cafes that offer dishes made with locally grown fruits such as mangoes and bananas. After enjoying the natural scenery on the island, take a moment to relax at a cafe for the most pleasant break.
