From Nagasakimachi in Choshi City, Chiba Prefecture, to Cape Gyobu in Asahi City, this bay is known for its cliff scenery. The cliffs, which rise about 50 meters high and stretch for approximately 10 kilometers, are referred to as the "Eastern Dover Cliffs" due to their resemblance to the white cliffs of Dover in England. Due to years of erosion from the sea, the cliffs are barren and present a desolate atmosphere. This cliff, with its beautiful geological stripes, is a popular location for filming movies, TV dramas, and advertisements. In March 2016, it was designated as a national scenic spot and natural monument. The cliffs are not only dangerous due to their height, but they are also private property, so entry is not permitted without permission (if filming is desired, prior application is required). The nearby Choshi Beach walking trail is the best spot for enjoying the scenery. Strolling along the trail allows visitors to appreciate the magnificent natural landscape.

This unique cliff serves as a filming location for movies, TV dramas, and advertisements. In March 2016, it was designated as a national scenic spot and natural monument. From the trail extending from Choshi Beach, one can enjoy a magnificent view of the scenery.
