🗺️ Green Hill Park (Tomakomai City, Hokkaido)

Located in Tomakomai, the largest port city in Hokkaido, this park is beloved by locals. It features rich natural landscapes and numerous outdoor activities. The park has a spacious grassy area perfect for picnics and relaxing leisure time. Many wild birds inhabit the area near the pond, where visitors can also enjoy boating; there are also leisure cabins available for barbecuing. The sports facilities are well-planned, including baseball fields, soccer fields, tennis courts, and a skateboard park. Additionally, there is an ultra-long slide measuring 102 meters and various large playground equipment. On the hill, there is an observation deck from which you can overlook the spectacular cityscape of Tomakomai from a height of 55.6 meters on the third-floor observation deck. The night view is especially recommended, as the industrial area surrounding the port city lights up, creating a dazzling night scene that contrasts with the daytime scenery. The second floor features a multifunctional room that can be used for reading, studying, or as a resting area. In spring, visitors can enjoy cherry blossoms, and in autumn, the beautiful foliage makes it possible to have a full day of fun in the park.
