Opened in 2005, the 1,960-meter-long Kouri Bridge connects Wakae Island and Kouri Island. Kouri Bridge is the second longest toll-free bridge in Okinawa, offering endless views of the beautiful emerald green sea on both sides. It is not only a popular driving route but also a highly sought-after scenic spot. On the Wakae Island side of Kouri Bridge, there is a free parking lot at the Kouri Bridge South Viewing Platform, where it is recommended to park your vehicle and walk across the bridge. Enjoy the surrounding scenery while relaxing and experiencing the pleasure of walking as if you are strolling over the sea. After crossing the bridge, you will find attractions such as "Kouri Beach" and "Kouri Station Sorahashi" on the Kouri Island side. Additionally, Kouri Island is known as a "lovers' sanctuary" and is nicknamed "Island of Love." On the northern beach of the island, there is a heart-shaped rock called "Heart Rock," which attracts many couples to visit.
