🗺️ Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium

The "Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium" is located within the Ocean Expo Park in Okinawa and is a highly popular tourist attraction. From the 4th floor of the building, taking the escalator down to the 3rd floor will lead you to the aquarium entrance. The interior design mimics a gradual descent into the deep sea, with exhibition areas extending to the 2nd and 1st floors, immersing visitors in the mysterious and magnificent marine ecosystem of Okinawa. The main highlight of the aquarium is the giant tank "Kuroshio Sea," where you can observe the world's largest fish, the whale shark, up close, as well as the first successful breeding of the coral reef manta ray. Seeing the 8.8-meter-long fish up close is truly breathtaking! Surrounded by gentle blue light, it feels as if you are in the ocean itself. In the "Coral Reef Sea" tank, illuminated by sunlight, you can see large-scale coral reef breeding displays. The 1st floor showcases precious deep-sea creatures collected from depths of over 200 meters, allowing visitors to fully experience the mysterious atmosphere. Additionally, the nearby "Dolphin Theater" features several dolphin shows daily. Against the backdrop of the azure sea, the stunning performances of dolphins, including impressive jumps, humorous dances, and choruses, are sure to bring a smile to your face and are absolutely not to be missed.

You can enjoy a close-up view of the 8.8-meter-long whale shark and the coral reef manta ray. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Okinawa. The aquarium features large-scale coral reef breeding, recreating the waters of Okinawa. Inside the aquarium, there is a café where you can relax while admiring the large tank. Surrounding the aquarium, there is a dolphin show venue and a playground for children to enjoy.
