📜 Product Details
The rice shop was founded in the 32nd year of the Meiji era (1899), when the first generation owner began selling yokan made with local chestnuts, marking the beginning of the rice shop's history. Since then, it has continuously launched popular products primarily focused on wagashi (Japanese sweets). In Chiba Prefecture, it operates through both street shops and stores within shopping malls, with the main store serving as the brand's core. The main store is located on the approach to Naritasan Shinshoji Temple, a well-known and beloved souvenir spot for long-time visitors. The main store also houses the "Narita Yokan Museum," allowing customers to enjoy both shopping and sightseeing.
The popular product "Peanut Monaka" (150 yen each) has won multiple awards at confectionery competitions and has been recognized as a representative sweet of Chiba Prefecture in the Japan Gift Awards. The monaka, shaped like a peanut, is filled with a rich peanut-flavored filling, providing a wonderfully smooth texture and taste. The Peanut Monaka is available for individual sale as well as in boxes of 8, 12, and 16 pieces.
In addition, the richly flavored yokan is also a must-try delicacy. Made from high-quality ingredients like plump chestnuts and crafted using traditional methods, the "Premium Daiko Yokan - Chestnut" (5,400 yen per roll) is sold only at select stores. The "Salt Yokan" (1,000 yen per roll), seasoned with salt produced from Kujukuri Beach, is also very popular for its refreshing and rich flavor.
