About 10 kilometers west of JR "Takahagi" Station lies a valley near the Hanakawa Dam. This area is connected by various deep gorges and waterfalls, making it a popular spot to enjoy the natural scenery of all four seasons. From the Hanakawa Dam to Meibari no Fuchi and the Kodaki Campground, the breathtaking views of fresh greenery in spring and autumn foliage are simply stunning. The Hanakawa Dam is one of the few seaside dams in Japan, offering a panoramic view of the V-shaped valley and the sea. Below, the cherry blossom park serves as a popular resting spot for visitors. There are many scenic spots nearby, with the Shioimi Falls suspension bridge, which is about 60 meters long, being a must-see. Along the trail paved through the V-shaped valley, there are several cliffs that provide a glimpse of the magnificent Shioimi Falls and the gentle flow of the Hanakawa River. During the autumn foliage season, the branches of the dense trees along the river extend outwards, painting the road in splendid autumn colors. The beautiful contrast of the autumn leaves, river, and waterfalls creates a scene worth capturing with a camera.
