📖 Saigo Takamori

Saigo Takamori is a central figure of the Meiji Restoration and a symbolic presence among the samurai who guided Japan toward becoming a modern nation during the late Edo period. He was active on the political stage from the end of the Edo period (1603–1868) to the early Meiji period (1868–1912), leaving an indelible mark on the history of the Meiji Restoration.
