Established in the second year of the Kan'ei era (1625), it is the oldest sake brewery in Kanazawa and currently holds the number one market share in Ishikawa Prefecture. The historic old shop Fukumitsuya named a special sake "Kanazawa Kōki-go" to commemorate the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen, launching the "Fukumasa Junmai Ginjo with Pure Gold Leaf" on March 14, 2015. The commemorative bottle's outer box and the slender bottle's label feature illustrations representing the Hokuriku Shinkansen W7 series trains. Although it was once discontinued, it has been re-released to commemorate the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen line between Kanazawa and Tsuruga on March 16, 2024. This Junmai Ginjo sake is characterized by its luxurious aroma and soft, elegant taste, and it includes pure gold leaf, which is produced in Kanazawa and ranks first in Japan. When the outer box is laid horizontally, a design resembling the Shinkansen in motion can be seen, and the playful design has also attracted much attention.
