📜 Restaurant Details

About a 5-minute walk from the Miyanoshta Station of the Hakone Tozan Railway, there is a specialty restaurant for yam dishes built in a naturally rich environment. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes made from natural yams, known as the "King of Yams," which are highly nutritious. The meals primarily feature yam puree as the main dish. There is a "Barley Rice Yam Puree Set" that includes yam puree served with barley rice, side dishes, and fresh mushroom soup, as well as a "Yam Puree Meal" that comes with a main dish (either Fuji Spring Water Pork grilled with Saikyo miso or dried fish made from seasonal local catch in Odawara) and several side dishes. The most popular dish is the "Ultimate Lunch," which includes two main dishes, side dishes, and the famous Hakone spring water "Kumadofu." The yam ingredients used are grown at the directly managed "Odawara Hakone Farm." The natural yams, carefully cultivated using high-quality water sources from Hakone, are mashed with the skin on to savor their unique flavor. The golden barley rice is a mix of 60% white rice and 40% domestic barley, generously topped with natural yam puree, making it highly nutritious. In addition to set meals, there are also various a la carte dishes made with natural yams, such as Satsuma-age, Isobe-age, and fried tofu with yam sauce, which can be ordered according to personal preference. On Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays, breakfast is served starting at 7 AM. Guests can choose between barley rice and silver rice kamameshi (a type of rice cooked in a pot). The silver rice kamameshi is cooked slowly in a single-serving pot. If you are staying at a nearby hotel or inn, it is recommended to wake up early to enjoy the fresh air of Hakone while replenishing your energy with the natural yam dishes.
