Goshiki, a traditional Japanese restaurant established in 1635, offers a variety of local dishes. Here, you can enjoy fresh red sea bream, Kuroge Wagyu Iyo beef, and Ehime Prefecture's brand pork "Hime," all prepared with local ingredients. The signature dish, Tai Meshi (sea bream rice), uses only the fresh sea bream caught that day. There are typically two methods to prepare Tai Meshi: "Uwajima Tai Meshi," which features sea bream sashimi on top of white rice, and "Matsuyama Tai Meshi," where the sea bream is cooked together with rice. Both versions of Tai Meshi are available here.
Additionally, you can sample various local delicacies from Ehime Prefecture, including "Goshiki Somen" (five-color somen), "Tai Somen" (sea bream somen), and "Fried Fish Cake."
