It features works by prominent Western-style painter Man Kengoro, who was quite active during the Taisho to early Showa periods; Matsumoto Shunsuke, a well-known Western painter who also actively engaged in writing; and post-war representative sculptor Funakoshi Yasutake, among others.
The permanent exhibition room holds four exhibitions each year, rotating the museum's collection. The "Collection Talk," where curators explain the works based on a specific theme, is also highly praised (held on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month). The planning exhibition room introduces outstanding works from modern and contemporary art according to various themes.
