🎨 Attraction Gallery
📝 Introduction
Overlooking the vast scenery from the highest point of the national road in Hokkaido.
📖 Details
Located at the intersection of Ishikari, Tokachi, and Kitami, it is named Sangu Pass. Situated at an elevation of 1,139 meters within the heart of Daisetsuzan National Park, it is the highest point on national highways in Hokkaido.
From the observation deck at the summit, you can not only gaze at the local landmarks, the mountains Mt. Nipesotsu (2,013 meters) and Mt. Upepesanke (1,848 meters), but also see the sea of trees formed by European spruces, Ezo pines, and birches below. Experience the grandeur of Hokkaido's nature through the lush greenery of summer, the vibrant autumn leaves, and the soft white snow of winter, each season offering a distinct landscape. When weather conditions are favorable, there is also a chance to see a sea of clouds. Additionally, the Matsumi Bridge, which is 330 meters long and 30 meters high, winds through the sea of trees and is a very popular photo spot.
