The vast "Tsurumi Ryokuchi Park," spanning approximately 123 hectares across Tsurumi Ward in Osaka City and Moriguchi City, was developed from the site of the "International Flower and Green Expo" held in 1990. This urban park features a large pond that frequently attracts wild birds at its center, along with numerous recreational facilities. In the free-access "Hills Area," there is the "Windmill Hill," adorned with colorful seasonal flowers, and a rose garden that cultivates about 1,900 roses of approximately 400 varieties. Additionally, the "Nature Experience Observation Garden" recreates forest and rural landscapes. From the traditional tea house in the "Japanese Garden," visitors can enjoy various cherry blossom species from late February to early April, making it a renowned cherry blossom viewing spot in Osaka. The "Flower Competition Hall," the largest indoor botanical garden in the country, showcases around 5,500 plant species and is also quite popular. Adjacent to a grassy square that covers the area of four Koshien baseball fields, there are outdoor barbecue areas and camping zones where visitors can easily enjoy outdoor activities. The park also includes a golf course and horseback riding area, while the sports complex features tennis courts, a heated swimming pool, and various sports facilities.
