🛍️ AGURIE Forest mitte

📝 Introduction

Developed by a traditional tea house, this is the most authentic local dessert from Northeast China made with edamame puree.

📖 Details

The new brand store of the long-established tea house "Chanoida" in Sendai City aims to support agriculture and inherit the culture of Japanese cuisine, bringing together traditional and innovative dining experiences. Located within the S-PAL Sendai shopping complex in the Sendai Station building, the store's biggest feature is its attached workshop. The store sells "Kikufuku," a popular dessert from Chanoida, as well as sweets made with local Tohoku flavors like edamame paste. Kikufuku is a fresh cream daifuku, a new type of wagashi that enjoys enduring popularity. It comes in four flavors: matcha, fresh cream, edamame paste, and roasted tea, and its ability to be stored frozen is a key factor in its popularity. Additionally, the workshop in the store produces edamame paste soft serve ice cream, edamame paste parfaits, and edamame paste milkshakes, all of which are very well-received. By adding tapioca pearls or warabi mochi to the milkshakes, customers can enjoy a new combination of flavors.
