🗺️ Bentenjima Seaside Park
🎨 Attraction Gallery
📝 Introduction
A park filled with southern charm, offering a panoramic view of the mysterious torii gate.
📖 Details
Facing Lake Hamana, the park stretches about 500 meters east to west, lined with coconut trees that exude a tropical atmosphere. The red torii gate standing on the lake surface reaches a height of 18 meters and symbolizes Benten Island. Each year, only between November and January can one witness the sunset falling through the center of the torii, a scene that is both mysterious and dreamlike. The view also changes with the seasons, weather, and tides. During the warm months from April to August, visitors can take a boat to the shallow area where the torii is located.
In front of the park lies a vast sandy beach, which becomes a bustling seaside resort in the summer. During low tide, tidal pools appear, where various creatures such as crabs and small fish can be seen, making it quite popular among families. Lake Hamana is suitable for fishing, where one can catch various types of fish, and there are many kinds of marine activities available. The sunset viewed from the "Hamana Ohashi" bridge is also breathtakingly beautiful.
